August 13th, 2010 - Both birds enjoyed the top of the cage.

Pickles and Pepper

In June of 2010 we 'rehomed' a pair of African Greys; one male, one female.

Below is Pickles, the male with the bands on his ankle.

Here is Pepper, the female.

The pair, from left to right, Pickles and Pepper.

Making Babies

The protective parents.

And a view into the nesting box.

The three, unfertilized eggs. (7/31/10)

Candling them one last time to make sure.

The eggs after 11, plus, days. Definitely not fertilized.

Outside of the Cage

So on the 13th of August we figured out that toast is a great treat to tempt the birds out of the cage. First was Pepper, then Pickles came out.

Here is Pickles before coming out himself.

Now they are both out; so guess how they got back in.

They got back in, one by one in my hands, soon after the above picture they flew off in two different directions and I had to get each one individually with heavy gloves on. But no one was harmed.
